چکیده

In grafted seedling production, in addition to the compatibility and performance of rootstock, correct selection grafting method treatments rootstocks nd scion are effective on success graft. A three-stage trial was conducted determine appropriate method, effect root cutting, some cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.). Experiment I, it aimed most technique for by using single cotyledon, hole insertion, tube techniques. The rooted rootless growth II determined I. experiment III, sucrose, IBA (Indole-3-butyric acid) antitranspirant applications determined. graft rate plants evaluated 14 days after grafting. While cotyledon with a 76%, 67.8% 55.6% insertion methods, respectively. or rootstock found be insignificant. highest stem fresh dry weight were recorded 28.00 2.30 g/plant, weights 19.30 1.93 obtained from sucrose+antitranspirant (98.82%) sucrose+antitranspirant+IBA (97.65%) applications, lowest (74.86%) control (78.24%) applications. According results te achieved method. addition, combined application sucrose triple combination antitranspirant, before is recommended because they increase cucumber.

A Simple Method to Improve Hazelnut Grafting

Hazelnuts are usually propagated by suckers or layering. However, other methods of propagation have been tested with variable results. Grafting is a method that has a few advantages such as fast multiplication rate, earlier fruiting and reducing sucker removal cost on specific rootstocks. Unfortunately, grafting is difficult due to slow formation of callus in hazelnuts. Here, we report the hypo...

Plant grafting

Since ancient times, people have cut and joined together plants of different varieties or species so they would grow as a single plant - a process known as grafting (Figures 1 and 2). References to grafting appear in the Bible, ancient Greek and ancient Chinese texts, indicating that grafting was practised in Europe, the Middle East and Asia by at least the 5(th) century BCE. It is unknown wher...

Evaluation of rootstocks for watermelon grafting with reference to plant development, yield and fruit quality

The effect of grafting and post-grafting temperature on the plant development of two watermelon cultivars at transplantation and on subsequent fruit quality was studied. Watermelon cv. Sugar Baby and Crimson Sweet were self-rooted or grafted onto rootstock RS 841 F1 (Cucurbita maxima × C. moschata) or bottlegourd [Lagenaria siceraria f. clavata] (year 1), plus L. siceraria f. pyrotheca (ye...
